Malaysia Super League 2011 - Selangor vs Kelantan to kick off new season.

The MSL new season is coming this Saturday (27/01/2011) where there are few cracking matches to be played. Selangor and Kelantan will open the new season to grab a winner for the Charity Shield match. Let's preview both teams.

Selangor:-
K Devan's side is the title holder and will surely prepared for this match. With 6 national players who just been crowned new AFF Suzuki Cup champions, they are the favorite to regain the title. However, based on bad previous meeting with Kelantan, Devan's side must to do something for their good start of the season.

Strength:- With AFF Suzuki Cup top scorer, Safee Sali will surely boost the Red Giant. His experience and technique to be the key figure in this match. With Amri Yahya and Hardi Jaafar to support from behind, Kelantan defence has to be worried about. In defence, talisman Nasriq and Khairul Anuar will command the backline and Sairul Anuar Sundar is between the post.

Weakness:- Some of the players performance can be questioned. With lack of confident in passing and hold the ball is the only weakness to improve.

Kelantan:- The Red Warrior has been snapped by the news of suspension of their head coach B Sathianathan. Not just that some of their last season key players already been moved to other club. The name of Indra Putra, Khairuddin Omar and Norfarhan action surely will be miss by the fans. However, the effective Khairul Fahmi in goal will once again to be bet to hold the Selangor.

Strenght:- Red Warrior good tactical performance and teamwork was the key success for last season Malaysian Cup Champions. Badri Radzi in midfield and Khairul Fahmi in goal will decide the game. This lads played very important role for their last season success. And I can sure they will get their form back and hold the Selangor.

Weakness:- With absence of head coach B Sathianathan and 4 important last season players, Kelantan will to find their best 11 to face defending league champions, Selangor. Lack to passion in midfield and poor defensive discipline is the only thing to improve.

Prediction: Selangor will come out as a winner. 1-0 to Selangor.

Brilliant Berbatov: 3rd hattrick of the season was the payback value to Sir Alex

Dimitar Berbatov already makes a headlines again after stuck a 3rd hattrick of the season by sinks Birmingham 5-0 last Saturday. Now, Berbatov is the leading goalscorer in BPL with 18 goals leaving Carlos Tevez (Man City) with 14.

Early of the season, Berbatov name was not at a headlines list. In fact, the Bulgarian was not a popular figure in Man Utd fans. However, after stuck a hattrick against arch rival Liverpool and Blackburn, Berbatov was a United popular name to be chant everytime he plays.

I still remember Sir Alex challenged Berbatov to hit at least 20 goals in all competition. But now with 2 goals to reach the target, I would say Sir Alex will definitely revised his wishes.

Can Dalglish deliver what he does best to secure The Reds?

King Kenny. That what the Liverpool fan call him. After poor start of the new season, Roy Hodgson raise the white flag and leave The Koop with 1001 question mark. His replacement was legendary Hall of Famer, Kenny Dalglish.

Dalglish 1st assignment was to overcome Man Utd in FA Cup. Unfortunately, that was not a welcome journey to Dalglish after Giggs early penalty shown The Koop an exit route. To make it worst that already it was, Liverpool lost 2-1 to Blackpool 4 days later and gave Liverpool only 2 point above relegation zone. Can Daglish find his magic touch one again?

In my opinion, after departure of Xabi Alonso, Liverpool tactic was stuggled to find his best suitable player. Xabi Alonso is not just a defensive midfielder but he also can be a playmaker. His superb long range passes is his secret weapon. The name like Aquilani, Poulsen, Lucas or Raul Meireles so far fail to do their defensive duty until Reina collect the boal in his net more that 20 this season. I still remember in 2008/09 season, The Koop famous with their great defensive side where only less that 25 goal conceeded. But now, the scoring is almost the same despite the league is only half way line.

This Sunday, the Merseyside derby take place. Can Dalglish success to overcome this time resistance? It just a matter of time. We'll see.
